Orlando Pirates have completed their seventh signing of the off-season, reportedly securing the services of attacking midfielder Matome Mmolai from Leicesterford City FC. According to FARPost senior reporter Tshepo Rabothe, the deal is done and subject to an official announcement, with the 23-year-old expected to undergo routine medicals this week before joining pre-season training. Mmolai becomes the latest addition to the Betway Premiership champions’ squad, which already includes Sbangani Zulu, Neo Rapoo, Mthetheleli Mthiyane, Bohlale Ngwato, Siyanda Ndlovu, and Ghampani Lungu, as Pirates continue to build depth for the 2026/27 campaign.
Mmolai, who hails from Alexandra, Johannesburg, first caught the eye while starring for Dondol Stars in the ABC Motsepe League before earning a move to JDR Stars for the 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship season. He made his professional debut
