Transfer news: Brazilian midfielder to Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns have opened talks to sign Brazilian attacking midfielder Yan Sasse on a free transfer, according to iDiski Times journalist Lorenz Köhler. The Betway Premiership giants have already made contact with the 29-year-old as they look to strengthen their squad, with room opening for another foreign player as Miguel Reisinho nears the Chloorkop exit gate. Sasse is no stranger to South African football fans after scoring the winning goal for Espérance Sportive de Tunis against Sundowns in the 2024 CAF Champions League semi-finals, and he has now emerged as a priority target for the Brazilians.

The move could see Sasse reunite with Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso, who previously coached him at Espérance. Reports suggest Sasse had little interest in moving
