Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef has forcefully denied accusations that he and Cedric Kaze conspired to force head coach Nasreddine Nabi out of the club. Speaking to iDiski Times, Ben Youssef insisted that Nabi’s departure was a resignation, not a dismissal, and that only three individuals truly know what happened: club chairman Kaizer Motaung Jr., Nabi himself, and Kaze. The allegations stemmed from a turbulent period last season when Nabi missed three matches following his wife’s car accident, during which Ben Youssef and Kaze led the team to three consecutive wins.
