Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: THREE big announcements

Kaizer Chiefs have made three significant announcements in the buildup to the official transfer window, signaling an active period of squad restructuring ahead of pre-season training next week. The Soweto giants, who finished third in the Betway Premiership last term, officially confirmed the signing of former Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane. The 26-year-old made 115 appearances over three seasons with Stellies and gained valuable continental experience in the CAF Confederation Cup. According to a club statement, Moloisane’s “continental pedigree will be key for Amakhosi as the team returns to CAF competition for another season,” and he will link up with the squad when pre-season training begins.

Before Moloisane’s arrival, Chiefs unveiled new head coach Fernando Da Cruz, the French-Portuguese tactician who replaces Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze. Da Cruz briefly worked as Nasreddine Nabi’s assistant at Chiefs in 2024 before leaving to join the Moroccan national team, and he officially takes the reins on 1 July. Meanwhile, the club’s only confirmed departure so far is young defender Aden McCarthy, who has completed a move to Azerbaijan-based Sabah FK.

With pre-season looming and the transfer window yet to open, supporters are left wondering about the futures
