Kaizer Chiefs should sign these 3 Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns stars

Kaizer Chiefs face a critical juncture as they look to close the gap on rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns during the upcoming transfer window. The Glamour Boys have identified three potential targets to bolster their attacking options, with former Kaizer Chiefs coach Sergio Dos Santos advocating strongly for the acquisition of Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Lucas Ribeiro. According to Dos Santos, Ribeiro possesses exceptional skill and situational awareness that could transform Amakhosi's fortunes. However, the Brazilian remains contracted to the reigning Betway Premiership champions and is reportedly content at Sundowns, making any move unlikely despite his obvious quality and leadership credentials.

More realistic prospects lie within Orlando Pirates' ranks. Kaizer Chiefs could pursue outbound attacker Tshegofatso Mabasa and midfielder Kabelo Dlamini, both of whom represent feasible signings. Dlamini has fallen out of favour with Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos and could use a move to Naturena to revive his national team career through increased playing time. For Mabasa, a switch to Chiefs would provide the clinical finisher the club desperately needs.

The statistics paint a damning picture of Amakhosi's offensive struggles. With just 28 goals from 24 league matches this season, Chiefs have significantly underperformed compared to Pirates' 50 goals and Sundowns' 42. Notably, no Kaizer Chiefs striker has reached double figures in a single season since Samir Nurkovic in 2019/20, an alarming trend that underscores the urgency of their attacking reinforcements.
