Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has launched a pointed critique of Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane, arguing that the veteran is no longer capable of delivering at the required level. Khanye insisted that Sundowns lose a crucial attacking dimension when Zwane starts ahead of Nuno Santos.

Khanye highlighted that modern football demands higher intensity in attacking areas, and that Santos provided the spark that was absent during Zwane’s time on the pitch. “If you are going to bench Nuno for Mshishi, it’s a problem,” Khanye stated, adding that Sundowns cannot rely on a player whose off-the-ball movement has become ineffective. He did, however, compliment the midfield trio of Jayden Adams, Marcelo Allende, and Teboho Mokoena for controlling large parts of the game.
