CANAL+ extends Betway Premiership broadcast partnership

The CANAL+ Group has extended its broadcast partnership with the National Soccer League for the Premier Soccer League, securing continued coverage on SuperSport and DStv screens across Sub-Saharan Africa. The renewed agreement, announced shortly after CANAL+ completed its acquisition of MultiChoice, covers the Betway Premiership, MTN8, Carling Knockout, Nedbank Cup, and Motsepe Foundation Championship. Betway Premiership and Orlando Pirates chairman Dr Irvin Khoza welcomed the extension, stating that the partnership has played a significant role in growing the game and strengthening South African football clubs over the years.

CANAL+ CEO Maxime Saada and CANAL+ Africa CEO David Mignot said the extension reflects the group’s commitment to investing in premium African sports and entertainment content following the MultiChoice acquisition.
