Luka Modrić has once again delayed retirement, with AC Milan confirming the Croatian midfielder has signed a one-year contract extension that keeps him at San Siro until June 30, 2027. The announcement arrives shortly after Modrić returned from his fifth FIFA World Cup with Croatia, further extending the career of one of the most decorated and enduring footballers of his generation. At 40 years old, and approaching his 41st birthday in September, Modrić shows no signs of stepping away from the highest level.
